We are conducting one week,short term courses for each type of Embroidery consisting of six types and Tailoring.

I : Kantha Embroidery (West Bengal)
II : Dharwadi (Karnataka) , A simple form of Kasuthi
III : Kutch Embroidery with Mirror Application (Gujarat)
IV: Phulkari (Panjab)
V : Aari Embroidery with Mirror Application
VI: Toda Embroidery (Nilgiris/Tamilandu)
VII:Tailoring Course (Single garments)

The embroidery courses will cover the basics of the above types of regional embroidery from India with reference to the unique stitch techniques of them and the applications of each type of embroidery on dresses in a professional manner. Instructions and designs would be provided for each course.

The tailoring course will cover a single garment like saree blouse,Salwar Khameez,Skirt,Baby frock etc.

Fee for Each course : Rs 500 (Rupees Five Hundred)
Duration : Monday to Saturday - SIX Classes , 3 hours per class
Morning or Afternoon session : 10 am -1 PM or 1 pm - 4 PM

Each student is expected to bring the following materials :

1) Poplin Fabric (White or Cream color)
2) Embroidery Frame (5 to 6 inches diameter)
3) Pony Embroidery Crewel needle . size no. 8
4) Small Scissor to cut the thread
5) Centimeter and Inch Graph (large size, 1 each)
6) Tracing sheet (large size -2)
7) Yellow carbon sheet (1 no.)
8) HB or 2B Pencil ,Eraser and Sharpner.
9) A note book and a Pen (for instruction record)

Materials Sold in the School :
Flexinet , Quickstitch canvas,Embroidery Threads, Karur Matty fabric .
